To increase Tax Collection, we will enforce strict laws: Chairman FBR

23-12-2024, Islamabad: Rashid Mahmood Langrial Chairman, Federal Board of Revenue has said that FBR was dedicated to talk on tax obedience and enlarge the tax bracket to meet largen collection targets.  According to the media reports the chairman FBR said that the main focus was on inspiring non-filers to start contributing rather than burdening on existing taxpayers.  He said that out that only half of Pakistan population like 11 million possible taxpayers are filing returns, which is leaving significant room for improvement in tax collection.

The chairman of FBR has said that the FBR has witnessed four times increase in vender tax filers current year rolling from 200,000 to 600,000, far exceptional initial plans of 50,000 to 100,000. “This extraordinary rise is due to progressive tax actions and policy implementation,” he said. Answering a question the chairman FBR has said, “In our tax management, there was a lack of development, particularly in FBR. We have led first-order scrutinizes, but there were no representations to understand the second and third-order.
