Lahore Development Authority has sealed 87 commercial properties while conducting action against illegal constructed commercial buildings in Lahore. The authority has stricken the crackdown against illegal operated commercial buildings. On the request of DG of LDA Mr. Tahir Farooq, the authority team has conducted operations in the area of Gulberg, New Garden Town, Faisal Town, Sabzazar, Shadman and Gujarpura. The authority has also sealed a dozen wedding halls and marquees for illegal commercial use.

In another operation, 25 properties were also sealed in Gulberg, New Garden Town, Faisal Town. The authority has sealed 42 properties in Sabzazar. The total number of 20 properties were sealed in Shadman and Gujarpura area of Lahore.
Lahore Development Authority has sealed properties included some wedding halls, marquees, private schools, commercial offices, hotels, beauty parlor, general stores and bakery shop. Lahore Development Authority has stated that several notices were given to the owners of these properties before the grand operation. Chief Town Planner 1 Asad-uz-Zaman has supervised the operation in the given areas.
